MIC-4JMRI
Manifest Image Creator - Special Car Image Format - Last updated 12/17/17
Work in progress - 12/17/17 - stay tuned
Manifest Image Creator (MIC-4JMRI) has recently been added to the family of Creators. It's uniqueness allows the inclusion of "rolling stock" images as part of the manifest. This gives more visual information about a particular car, perhaps for some of us older sight challenged operators. There are preferences and three different styles to select. These set the number of images per row (or number of columns on the page). They are 3-wide, 4-wide, and 5-wide. Of course the fewer images the larger the image. However, larger images will increase the number of pages required for the Manifest. The samples below will show the same manifest using the three different variations. As written, this is intended for an 8 1/2 by 11 inch full sheet of paper. But I see this as a potential for use on a tablet as your Manifest form. Create this manifest as a PDF file and then use the PDF manifest on your tablet. This would save paper and ink.. I just happen to use an iPad with an attached lanyard in another unrelated function. However, this method would eliminate the necessity to hold the tablet while reviewing the cars that required movement. Many PDF readers come with the ability to "mark up text. This would allow adding a "tick mark" by each entry as the required movement is completed.

WARNING: It appears that some browser or operating systems are converting the .xlsm extension to xlsx. The MC contains macro code and at times folks use this to infiltrate your system. If you have issues and see that the extension has been changed to .xlsx, you will need to 'rename" the file and change the extension from .xlsx to .xlsm. If this does occur, I would like to know what browser and operating system you used when downloading the file. NOTE: .xls versions are not affected.
